We participated in the project as a methodological and process partner, guiding the internal team at Škoda Auto throughout the entire report development process. Our role included both expert leadership in the area of ESRS standards and hands-on support in project management and coordination.
We supported the team in collecting data across the organization, prepared the report structure and template, continuously reviewed inputs from individual subject-matter owners, and provided consultations to the involved internal stakeholders.
Our work also included climate risk analysis and methodological support in addressing comments arising from the audit process. The objective was to ensure that the final report was not only compliant with legislative requirements, but also consistent, clear, and well-defensible.

The project ran from September 2025 to mid-February 2026 and was characterized by a high level of complexity. It required working with large volumes of data and coordinating collaboration across the entire organization, involving dozens of stakeholders.
“Repeated review and refinement of outputs, as well as communication with auditors, were a key part of the entire process,” says Marie Machálková, Team Leader and ESG Consultant at Frank Bold Advisory.
The result of this collaboration is Škoda Auto’s very first Sustainability Statement prepared in accordance with ESRS standards, which was published as part of the annual report and successfully passed an audit. This step represents a significant advancement in the company’s non-financial reporting.

The report was not created from scratch. Škoda Auto has been developing the topic of sustainability over the long term and has established robust ESG strategies and policies. These approaches aim not only to prevent negative impacts and manage risks, but in many areas go even further by actively supporting positive change—not only within its own operations, but also across the value chain. The report thus provides a comprehensive overview of specific measures, including, for example, the development of circular economy principles and initiatives focused on reducing water consumption.
“Thanks to this collaboration, a report was created that meets the demanding ESRS requirements, successfully passed the audit process, and at the same time provides a clear and structured picture of the company’s approach to sustainability. Moreover, the project helped establish internal processes that can be effectively used in future reporting periods,” added Marie Machálková.
